To reduce cost, the AMD X670 chipset limits the CPU's PCIe lanes to 4.0 speed, although it does support a single PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD. In addition to PCIe lanes in AMD Ryzen CPUs, the AMD X670 chipset adds a further 8 PCIe 5.0 lanes plus up to 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) ports.
