AMD TRX50 Socket TR5 Motherboards

Motherboards based on the AMD TRX50 chipset support AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO and non-PRO 7000-series processors and are targetted at the mid-range workstation market. Integrated hardware and firmware security measures protect against viruses and malicious attacks, ensuring reliable and secure performance.

To reduce cost the TRX50 chipset limits reduces the 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes in CPUs down to 48, while adding a further 8 PCIe 4.0 lanes. It also limits the RAM down from 8- to 4-channels and does not support AMD Pro management and security features. If those capabilities are important to you make sure to choose a motherboard based on the WRX90 chipset.
