Power Delivery and CPU Support
This board uses a digital twin 10+3 phase VRM design with a 5+5 parallel power layout, premium chokes and capacitors, and a 4-layer PCB to deliver stable power to multi-core Ryzen CPUs. It supports AMD Socket AM4 Ryzen 5000, 4000, and 3000 series processors, allowing a wide upgrade range within the AM4 platform.
The UD Power Connector design (24-pin ATX with UD pins and 8-pin CPU with UD solid pins) enhances power conductivity and improves thermal dissipation at the connector points for long-term reliability. Together, these features help maintain consistent, high-powered performance, especially when overclocking or running demanding workloads.
Memory and Storage Features
The motherboard offers four DIMM slots for dual-channel DDR4 memory, enabling high capacity and bandwidth for gaming and productivity builds. Gigabyte emphasizes enhanced DDR4 memory performance and compatibility, with support for memory overclocking and XMP/EXPO profiles depending on modules and QVL.

Thermal Design and Cooling Control
VRM Thermal Armor Advanced combines high-coverage metal heatsinks, a large surface area design, and 5 W/mK thermal pads to significantly improve MOSFET cooling performance. More grooves in the heatsinks increase airflow and help keep the power stages cool under heavy loads compared with traditional multi-piece solutions.
Smart Fan 6 provides five PWM/DC fan headers (with support for water-cooling pumps), each rated up to 24 W and protected against over-current. The fan control system offers multiple temperature inputs, customizable fan curves with slope and stair modes, the ability to stop fans at low temperatures for silence, and stores personalized profiles in BIOS ROM.
Connectivity and Rear I/O
Wired networking is handled by a Realtek Gigabit LAN controller with bandwidth management software to reduce latency and maintain low ping in congested LAN environments. Wireless 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 enables gigabit wireless performance, provides smooth video streaming, better gaming experience, few dropped connections and speeds up to 2.4Gbps and 5Gbps. Moreover, Bluetooth 5 provides 4X range over BT 4.2 and with faster transmission. Display output is available via HDMI for use with compatible Ryzen APUs with integrated graphics.
USB connectivity includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, two additional USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports, covering both high-speed peripherals and legacy devices. This mix aims to give next-generation transfer speeds while retaining broad compatibility for existing accessories.
Audio and RGB Lighting
The audio subsystem uses 8-channel HD audio with high-end audio capacitors to deliver high-resolution, high-fidelity sound for games and media. An audio noise guard isolates sensitive analogue audio circuitry from PCB noise sources to reduce interference.
For lighting, RGB FUSION support includes three RGB LED headers and two ARGB LED headers, with programmable control over individual LEDs on ARGB Gen2 devices via Gigabyte Control Center (GCC). This software platform lets you coordinate illumination effects across supported Gigabyte components and tailor the look of your build to your preferences.
