Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality at an affordable price. I purchase this board as it is as future proof as you can get with PCIe4 and Zen 3 compatibility. It is by far the best quality (and heaviest) mb i've used, you certainly get what you pay for with B550. I'm running it with a 5 3600CPU and will be adding an RTX 3080 very soon. It looks great and the MSI cashback is a nice bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job well I'd not bought any major hardware upgrades for a while, with most of my pc being from ~2014. I know it will be several years before I upgrade again, so I was looking for a board that has all the features I need, and will last me several years. I'd previously bought intel CPU/Mobo so I had to do a bit of research into AMD products. Decided on the B550 board as it will be supported longer, with potential for a cpu upgrade in the future, and no need to worry about BIOS updating that affects some B450s. The board itself feels solid, with a few nice features that some other boards lacked, such as a good I/O panel, large heatsinks over the VRM/M2s, and a reinforced PCI slot. Having not built for a while, the manual was clear enough to remind me where the front I/O and various rgb/usb headers needed to go. I'm not usually too fussed about having loads of RGB, but I think the motherboard LED is just subtle enough to give a splash of colour without being overbearing, and can be paired with my cooler. In terms of the BIOS/software, I like the 1 button OCs, since I'm not the type to spend ages manually tweaking timings or voltages, its quick and gives a decent boost. The only issue I ran into whilst building was that due to all six SATA connections being orientated the same way next to each other, I had some difficulty connecting 1 of my drives. Would be nice if 1/2 ports could be mounted in a different location or orientation.
