Motherboards - Intel

Intel makes a wide variety of motherboard chipsets to support its Core and Xeon CPUs.

Intel produces two distinct types of motherboard chipset, those for Intel Core processors for gaming, content creation and office applications plus chipsets for Xeon processors the server market and Xeon-W for professional workstations.

To help you find the right motherboard we categories them by the Intel chipset and then by form factor. This is important, as full-size ATX motherboards provide the most PCIe slots and I/O ports, while compact Micro-ATX motherboards provide fewer PCIe slots and less I/O. Finally, tiny Mini ITX motherboards only have a single PCIe slot and the least number of I/O ports.
