Motherboards - AMD

The motherboard is the central hub of a PC, the board to which every other main component connects – CPUs in the socket, memory in the DIMM slots, and GPUs, sound cards and other expansion cards in the PCIe slots. Hard drives, SSDs, optical drives and front-panel ports also connect to it. Motherboards have a huge variety of features so research carefully first. You need to make sure your motherboard will fit in your case and that its socket matches your chosen CPU. Current desktop AMD motherboards have six main sockets: AM1, AM3+, FM2, FM2+, AM4 and TR4, depending on the processor used. The latest Ryzen chips use AM4 while the Threadripper performance monster requires a TR4-based motherboard.

3XS Professionally Overclocked AMD Ryzen Bundles

Save yourself the hassle of picking and assembling all the components you need to upgrade your PC. Scan 3XS Overclocked Bundles are pre-built, tested and configured so all you need to do is screw the motherboard and cooler into your case. Our engineers have even overclocked the CPU too, ensuring maximum performance. Choose from a selection of bundles using the finest components.

These overclocked bundles are based on AMD's latest Ryzen CPUy. This new platform supports 14nm Ryzen processors and features PCI-E 3.0, PCI-E M.2 SSDs and ultra-fast DDR4 memory. Choose a B350 motherboard for a great value for money system or a X370 motherboard for added SLI and CrossFire support.

Please note you will require a discrete graphics card to use these bundles.

AMD X370 Socket AM4 ATX Motherboards

These motherboards are based on the AMD X370 chipset and are designed for the AMD Ryzen range of CPUs. The X370 is the flagship Ryzen chipset, and so features the highest number of SATA ports, USB ports and PCI-E lanes. Choose an X370 motherboard over a B350 motherboard for more I/O and SLI and CrossFire support. These particular boards are full size ATX designs with maximum expandability.

Please Note: The graphics outputs that feature on some of the motherboards below are designed for use with AMD processors such as the Ryzen 5 2400G, Ryzen 3 2200G, or A-Series models which feature a GPU integrated within the CPU chip itself. These graphics outputs, such as HDMI, DVI, VGA & DisplayPort will not function unless a compatible CPU with integrated graphics is installed.

AMD B350 Socket AM4 ATX Motherboards

These motherboards are based on the AMD B350 chipset and are designed for the AMD Ryzen range of CPUs. The B350 is the mid-range Ryzen chipset, and so features a modest number of SATA ports, USB ports and PCI-E lanes. Unlike the more expensive X370 motherboards, B350 boards do not support SLI or CrossFire.
