Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Managing the Information Technology infrastructure estate, ensuring high levels of availability and system performance
  • Provide Windows Technical support
  • Implementing change in a robust and secure manner
  • Provide technical support for existing and new technology
  • Implement, develop and support the desktop, server, SAN and software infrastructure
  • Identify areas for improvement within supported systems by the proactive analysis of incident root causes
  • Act as a technical escalation point for 1st or 2nd line team members in order to resolve incidents and provide resolution
  • Experience working in a managed service team

Technical Requirements

For this role. you would ideally have the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux (Debian / Ubuntu)
  • Experience with VMware vSphere
  • Working knowledge Storage SAN’s
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere
  • Working knowledge Storage SAN’s
  • Understanding of WAN & LAN networking concepts including: TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience of IT systems - delivery, maintenance and support

Experience in the following will be beneficial:

  • Understanding key infrastructure platforms and tools: Active Directory, Exchange 2016, Microsoft Terminal Services, VDI, Microsoft Server 2012/2016, Office 365
  • Cloud experience with AWS or Azure
  • An understanding of Docker / Containers
  • ITIL
  • Configuration management tools e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Scripting experience e.g. bash, python
