Microsoft Windows Server is the world’s leading operating system (OS) for servers. To cover small office servers right up to datacentre deployments, it is available in three versions - Essentials, Standard and Datacenter.

With up to 25 users or 50 devices, the Essentials edition perfect for small business, limited to a single CPU with a maximum of 10 CPU cores. Standard edition is aimed at the vast majority of users - in addition to installation on hardware, two virtual machines (VMs) are also possible with the server license. The Datacenter edition, has the greatest flexibility for large, rapidly changing workloads unlimited VMs and software-defined storage.
