Raw Video
The Pocket Cinema Camera Range comes with the ability to record in Blackmagic’s own RAW codec to achieve cinematic level video quality and even better results in DaVinci Resolve.
Dual ISO
The native ISO of 400 is ideal for well-lit scenes, and the secondary high base ISO of 3200 with the ability to dial up to 25,600 means these cameras also perform well in low light with minimal grain or noise.
Flexible Storage
There are multiple options for storage, CFast and SD Cards are available to use internally and by using a USB-C connection, there is the option to record straight to external hard drives, making filming for long periods easy and straight forward.
Pro Features with the 6K Pro
The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro features additional tools such as built in ND filters and support for an optional viewfinder for filmmakers looking to up their game.
Built to Perfection
The Pocket Camera is as it sounds: tiny. This gives you far more portability, allowing you to get more unique shots on projects or even when in tight studio spaces. Just because it’s small, doesn’t mean it isn’t packing, expect everything you would from a cinema camera that make it possible to capture cinema quality footage. There are also all the buttons that you’d need, making it easy to get a hold of everything from framing, focus, audio and file management.
Pocket Camera Lenses
The Pocket Camera 4K features a Micro Four Thirds Mount, while the 6K and 6K Pro have an EF lens mount, giving you access to your previous collection of lenses. Through the use of compatible adapters, you are open to use an even wider range of lenses. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find our recommendations for both Micro Four Thirds and EF mount lenses to help get you started.
Pocket Camera Accessories
The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K take LP-E6 batteries and the 6K Pro version takes larger NP-F570 batteries, which will both be familiar to many shooters. There is also plenty of options for external power from a battery grip to D-Tap power, meaning you’re covered on remote shoots.
All Pocket Cinema Cameras feature a bright 5” touchscreen display, but if you’re looking for additional monitoring, the HDMI output works with most modern monitors. For monitoring the Blackmagic Video Assist 5” works great as an on-board monitor and the 7” version is ideal as viewing monitor.
