Earthquaker Devices - Sea Machine

Reel in the big one
The Sea Machine is a chorus pedal from Earthquaker Devices. But wait, this is far from any chorus pedal you may have heard before. The Seamachine has as many modulation possibilities as there are fish in the ocean. (That’s a lot of fish).
From subtle, shimmery chorus sounds, to wobbly, seasick pitch-bent detuning that rocks the boat, the Sea Machine is the audio bait that’ll help you reel in the big one.
This Ain't No One Trick Seahorse
The Seamachine has it all With a mix of standard and unique controls, everything from subtle warble, seasick pitch bends, strangled alien sounds, stunted arpeggiations and many more far out sounds are available. Or you could just use it as a chorus. That works, too. Oh, and if you’re a bass player who fancies themselves a fan of the classic 80s post-punk bass sound, the Sea Machine is pretty much just like (tone) heaven. Click below to see yourself. From the traditional chorus, to the downright outrageous, the Seamachine has it all.

Controlling Your Seahorse
Total ControlThe Seamachine is capable of a huge pallet of sonic sounds and is an incredibly versatile pedal. This can be attributed to its 6 knob panel which changes the personality of this pedal to varying degrees. Let’s take a run through of the Sea Machine’s interface.

Animate: This determines how far the pitch shifted signal changes, lower levels are equal to a stronger, more oriented shift, similar to a more traditional chorus. As this knob is increased, a much less traditional and more animated pitch shift is produced.
Dimension: Adds a subtle slap-back at low levels, a mid-level reverb-like sound, and an echo that contributes to full oscillation.
Intensity: Adjusts the sum of modulated signal that is combined with the dry signal. Unity for this command is around noon, all above that improves the modulated signal.

Depth: Adjusts the LFO's modulation of the delay time.
Shape: Adjusts the wave from a triangle wave to a square wave the further you turn clockwise.
Rate: Adjusting the ‘Rate’ knob determines the speed of the LFO. The miniature LED on the panel will blink in sync with the tempo, even when in bypass mode. A very handy feature indeed
