What makes a great Home Office PC?

PC Form Factor
The style of home office PC you choose will depend on a number of factors - what you intend to use it for, how much space you have, and the likelihood of you wanting to add components in the future. The below table summarises the styles of PC available and their most common uses.

Graphics Card (GPU)
Most home and office applications are not very graphically intensive, so PCs designed for these sorts of workloads typically feature a CPU with integrated graphics. Office PCs typically support two monitors as standard, which can really boost productivity compared to using a single monitor. Processor (CPU)
Alongside the graphics card, the processor or CPU is also key, as it is responsible for other tasks outside of graphics. A processor with a higher clock speed and more cores will result in a better overall experience and it is a good idea to match the graphics card with the processor. This doesn’t mean they have to be the same brand, but it would be unwise to pair a high-end graphics card with an entry-level processor, as this will limit the performance of the graphics card.

System Memory
Following your processor choice, it is important to ensure that its performance will not be hindered by lack of memory or RAM within your PC. We use Corsair Vengeance RAM in our 3XS PCs, with a minimum of 16GB on entry-level systems and more memory in high-end systems, ensuring optimum performance.

Storage
We use the latest high-performance NVMe SSDs in our home office PCs, reducing application load times and helping everyday tasks feel responsive.
We offer a minimum 1TB SSD in our home office PCs, which is enough storage capacity for documents, applications, photos and videos. We also offer PCs with more storage, such as 2TB and 4TB as standard. Alternatively, you can purchase more storage as required later on.
Motherboard
The motherboard is the cornerstone of a home office PC, linking together all the components and helping them communicate with one another. We use Asus, one of the world's premier motherboard brands, in our home office PCs.
Power Supply
