Dobot CRS Series Robotic Arms

Dobot CRAS collaborative robots are CRA 6-axis arms fitted with SafeSkin, an electronic skin that senses people and conductive objects before contact. Dobot also lists them on its website as the CRS series. SafeSkin detects an approaching person or object at 5 to 15 cm, checks every 0.01 s and can trigger an emergency stop within 0.1 s, so the arm slows or stops before a collision rather than after one.

That makes the CRAS a strong fit where people and robots share a workstation: loading, assembly, bin picking, gluing, inspection and screwdriving. Scan offers three sizes: the CR3AS (620 mm reach), the CR5AS (5 kg, 900 mm) and the CR10AS (10 kg, 1,300 mm). Repeatability is ±0.02 to ±0.03 mm and the arms are rated IP54. Because they are built on CRA arms, they fit the same cells and workflows as other Dobot CRA cobots. If you don't need pre-collision sensing, the Dobot CRA series offers the same arms without SafeSkin.
