Field Monitoring & Recording

Accurate field monitoring and recording are essential for judging focus, exposure and colour in professional video, especially when a camera screen is too small or limited. This category covers on camera monitors, monitor recorders, viewfinders and compact production displays that give crews a clearer view of what is really being captured. Aimed at cinematographers, camera operators, DITs and directors who need reliable monitoring on set, on location and in live or streaming environments. A common question is whether to choose a monitor only or a combined monitor recorder. If you want higher bit-rate codecs, flexible recording formats or easier handoff to post, a recorder makes strong practical sense. If your priority is a lightweight rig or gimbal work, a bright, accurate monitor without recording may suit you better.
