Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy addiction This is a strange setup for a remote. Firstly the keypad is an infrared unit that is fitted into an outer housing with an infrared receiver and 2.5mm Jack socket built into it. There is also a 3 metre connection cord to connect the assembled unit to the sound recorder. I can only assume that the keypad is used for other equipment in the manufacturer's line up. Having said that the remote does it's job of controlling the recorder, and of course decoupling the unit from any external interference caused by operating the controls well. It also gives the operator a limited scope of movement. The only downside is that I think it is rather expensive given the limited operating distance and inconvenience of trialling wires.
