The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Used Several of These A very good and most importantly, very quiet cooler. Used several of these in an HTPC and other PCs. 20 July 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Well manufactured, low profile, great cooling, not so quiet Well packaged, great instructions, clips for every motherboard under the sun and fitted well even some free silicone heat sink paste. Has lowered my 939 older AMD (in small HTPC case now) temp down 4-5 degrees from stock cooler but I find it just as noisy. I would be temped to recommend this for a MATX build where space is tight in small case and ideal for older 939 boards where good coolers are hard to find but perhaps not best HTPC cooler. 29 October 2013
