Product Overview Built on the basis of the legendary NH-D14 and carrying on its quest for ultimate quiet cooling performance, Noctua's flagship model NH-D15 is an elite-class dual tower cooler for the highest demands. Its expanded heatpipe layout and two premium grade NF-A15 140mm fans with PWM support for automatic speed control allow it to further improve the NH-D14's award-winning efficiency. Topped off with the trusted, pro-grade SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, Noctua's proven NT-H1 thermal compound and full six years manufacturer's warranty, the NH-D15 forms a complete premium quality solution that represents a deluxe choice for overclockers and silent-enthusiasts alike.

Features Based on the award-winning NH-D14
Noctua's NH-D14 has received more than 350 awards and recommendations from leading international hardware websites and magazines, making it one of the most successful premium heatsinks ever built. With its expanded layout and dual NF-A15 fans, the NH-D15 further improves the D14's much acclaimed quiet cooling performance.

Six heatpipe dual tower design
As compared to conventional single tower heatsinks, the NH-D15's fine-tuned six heatpipe dual tower design provides more surface area, better heat-distribution and superior airflow efficiency in dual fan mode.

Widened fin stack and expanded heatpipe layout
Compared to the NH-D14, the NH-D15's fin-stack has been widened from 140 to 150mm and its heatpipes are now spaced further apart, which allows for a more uniform heat distribution over a larger surface area and thus contributes to the NH-D15's superior efficiency.

High RAM compatibility in single fan mode
Thanks to its recessed lower fins, the NH-D15 provides 64mm clearance for tall memory heatsinks in single fan mode, making it compatible with most high end RAM modules on the market. In dual fan mode, the NH-D15 should be used with standard height RAM (up to 32mm). Please note: In chassis with more than 165mm CPU cooler clearance, the front fan can be moved upwards to make room for memory modules taller than 32mm.

Dual NF-A15 140mm fans
The NH-D15 features two of Noctua's premium class NF-A15 140mm fans. Complying with Noctua's AAO standard and featuring sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A15 has quickly built up a reputation as one of the best 140mm fans on the market.

PWM support and Low-Noise Adaptor
The NF-A15 premium fans supplied with the NH-D15 support PWM for convenient automatic speed control through the mainboard. In addition, the maximum fan speed can be reduced from 1500 to 1200rpm using the supplied Low-Noise Adaptor for even quieter operation.

Excellent component cooling
Extending below the fin-stacks, the large NF-A15 fans not only contribute to the NH-D15's superb CPU cooling capabilities but also provide massive airflow over surrounding motherboard components and heatsinks, thus ensuring excellent component cooling performance.

SecuFirm2 mounting system
Noctua's SecuFirm2 mounting systems have become synonymous with quality, safety and ease of use. Supporting Intel LGA115x (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156), LGA2011 and AMD (AM3(+), AM2(+), FM1, FM2(+)), the SecuFirm2 mounting included with the NH-D15 guarantees perfect contact pressure and maximum convenience on all current sockets.

Compatibility with past and future sockets
Complying with the open SecuFirm standard, the NH-D15 can be made compatible with the older LGA1366 and LGA775 sockets using the optional NM-I3 mounting kit, which is provided by Noctua free of charge. If technically possible, Noctua will also provide upgrade kits for future sockets.

NT-H1 thermal compound
Having received more than 100 awards and recommendations from hardware journalists around the world, Noctua's NT-H1 is a proven professional grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance, excellent ease of use and outstanding reliability.

Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Noctua NH-D15 Dual Radiator Quiet CPU Cooler with two NH-A15 Fans is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing looking cooler with the best temps and silent action I nearly never purchased this due to noctua famous colour of brown n beige , however after discovering that you can buy the fans in black with chromax addons I was sold, I purchased this cooler and 2x 140 black fans and put the white chromax tags on, I’ve also ordered the new radiator cromax and will be covering them in black and white also, I live this cooler I’ve over clocked my i7 7700k to 4.8ghz and temps are idle 26-29c gaming at 4K 36-45c best cooler on the market, and I would add water coolers to that statement too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised My CPU: 4770K Overclocked to 4.2Ghz with a 1.215 max voltage. I haven't used air to cool my CPU for 5 years or so, thinking AIO coolers were the way to go, or the only way to get super low temps. This thing blew me away, was so easy to fit and I can't believe just how well it does with cooling my CPU. In my most demanding CPU game, The Division, I get ~65C average with an occasional spike to 72C on one to two cores. I don't go above 60C in SVP 4. Downside is it doesn't look as appealing as the AIO coolers and it is rather big but if you don't really care about the looks of the inside of your PC, or rather, you don't mind an alternative look, you're making a big mistake not buying this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium The cooler came really well boxed with all one needs to assemble it. It also comes with a premium thermal compound. Instructions were easy and it also came with an am4 bracket though I did not need this but it was well anticipated. The cooler itself with a lateral mounting position with a 2 fan config is the real deal. Really quiet even without the low noise adapter. I have a 7700k and max temp i reached was approx. 60 degrees Celsius. But under gaming load my temps never go above mid 50's. It should be noted my case does provide good airflow so your mileage may vary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A meaty air cooler that's near silent and simple to install - excellent temps! This cooler is currently the highest quality consumer air cooler, as far as I can remember, and it shows. A breeze to install, very simple to install its fans, if a little fiddly, and it offers performance that beats out a lot of AIO water cooling units. Do mind of the cooler's exceptionately large size, which may become an issue on a few smaller or ill designed case. It is a bit of an eyesore, but when you barely hear its fan(s, in my case) whirring near silently, keeping your cpu excellently cooled through long and potentially high power using applications and benches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enormous but very effective! As you will have seen from online reviews, this is a monster air cooler indeed! I paired it with an i7-7700K on an ASUS Maximus IX Formula motherboard and had no clearance issues with the RAM. It does obstruct the very first PCIe slot which on this motherboard was a x1 so no real loss. If this is an issue for you, there is the offset NH-D15S model which will move the Noctua cooler slightly to one side to grant access to that slot. The 140mm fans will happily spin down to about 20% PWM and are totally silent at that speed. I can tell the cooler is very effective (when in a well ventilated case) as the fans do spin up and down depending on what your machine is doing. Even at full speed, however, they are practically inaudible. This is air cooling at its very best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An incremental improvement over D14 As a standalone product, the D15 is fantastic. It's sturdy, balanced, securely packaged with everything I could reasonably expect included, and appears to sail through its primary function. I can't find much to recommend it over its predecessor, the D14, and I wouldn't recommend this product as an upgrade for owners of the previous model, but I would recommend it to everyone else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cooler although still expensive Great cooler, just that price, but is worth it every penny Cooling my i7-5820k OC to 4.5GHz with ease and running lot cooler than Corsair H100i v2 at same voltage and same frequency Very happy with purchase,if I would recommend, without the questions

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best air coolers I recently purchased this cooler to overclock my AMD FX 8350 and I can honestly say this is one of the best air coolers on the market. I'm an overclocking enthusiast and wanted to take my CPU to 5ghz, so I installed the NH-D15 and now my temps are around 23 degrees idle and 58 on max load during stress tests, this is excellent considering the 8350 runs very hot at 5ghz and the NH-D15 keeps it under 60 degrees during full load. The cooler is quiet and very efficient and was easy to install. In summary, if you are looking for a premium air cooler for serious overclocking then this is the cooler for you.

Compatible with Dominator Platinums?

Hi, I was wondering if the heatsink would block me from putting Dominator Platinums on a Z97 Gryphon Motherboard, any help is much appreciated. Simon
Asked by: SimonPenni
Am using CORAIR VENGEANCE and the fan fits in their perfectly. I am only using 2 slots of ram. I would think you could adjust the fan to fit above them. Or fit it the other side but this is not recommended, if you want to get the best cooling for overclocking.
