Powerful in Execution
The Hedra’s front panel features simple and intuitive controls. Easily change the voice of melodies in real time by using the selectable pitch correction knobs, or select from any of the standard 12 scales using the ‘Key’ control and allow the Hedra to change the pitch of the incoming signal.
hair-raising harmonies Try harmonising the original signal quickly and accurately with common intervals such as a 3rd, 5th or 7th, the Hedra allows you to switch between these intervals with a smooth transition or a hard transition for dramatic effect. If you really want to push the Hedra and see what it’s capable of, experiment with 18 different intervals, spanning 4 octaves for truly mind-bending results. Not quite, what you’re looking for? Blend the pitch-shifted signal with the original to find your perfect blend using the ‘Mix’ control.
Advanced Connection Options The Hedra from Meris is much more than a stand-alone guitar pedal, it’s a ‘symphony in a box’. Feeling creative? Try your favourite synthesizer through the Hedra for some truly jaw-dropping results, simply flick from the ‘Line’ to ‘Synth’ level input. Or, try connecting your chosen MIDI controller via the dedicated TRS expression jack and take control over a quarter of voices. The scope for unique creative output here is massive.
Controlling the Hedra
Select Key
Selects key for diatonic harmonies. Set to max for chromatic shifting
Alt Function: Scale Type Select
(from Min to Max): Major, Minor, Melodic Minor, Harmonic Minor, Double Harmonic, Eastern Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic
Micro Tune
Slightly detunes all three pitch shifted voices
Alt Function: Pitch Correction and Glide
When the knob is between Min and Mid select between: No Correction, Loose Correction, Strict Correction. When knob is between Mid and Max selects amount of glide
Mix Control
Adjusts the balance between Dry and Wet signals.
Alt Function: Delay Feedback Controls delay feedback.
Series delay modes: Pitch 3 sets the feedback loop.
Dual delay modes: Pitch 1 and 3 both add to the feedback loop
Pitch
Sets the interval for each pitch's voice.
Pitch 1 Alt fucntion: Time Division 1 Sets a fraction of the main tempo for the first pitch shifted voice.
Pitch 2 Alt function: Time Division 2 Sets a fraction of the main tempo for second pitch shifted voice.
Pitch 3 Alt function: Time Division 3 Sets a fraction of the main tempo for third pitch shifted voice

Select Mode
Dual: Splits the delay into 2 short delays with a stereo output
Dual + Series: the same 2 short delays as Dual mode, now with cross-feedback
Series: One long series delay with standard feedback
Pitch Feedback: One long series delay
with the pitch shifters in the feedback loop
Tap Tempo/Delay
Sets the main tempo/delay time. Total available time for the two Series delay modes = 520 msec. For the Two Dual delay modes = 260 msec
Alt Function: Half Speed Enables the delay to run at half speed
Hold Tap: Momentarily enable an automatic volume swell based on your pick attack
