The IPC 4U-4416 focuses on dependable storage expansion in a standard 4U layout. With sixteen hot-swap 3.5"/2.5" bays on the front panel, it equips deployments such as backup servers, NAS clusters, and surveillance arrays with high-capacity media that’s ready to service growing datasets. Two 5.25" bays give room for removable media, optical devices, or additional modular storage hardware depending on the workload.

Airflow Built Around Active Storage

A cooling layout built for populated drive cages ensures predictable airflow through the chassis. Three 120mm fans draw fresh air directly across the disks to maintain consistent operating temperatures, while two 80mm exhaust fans at the rear push out accumulated heat. Even when the full storage configuration is in use, the front-to-back path keeps airflow moving efficiently across critical components.

Built-in SATA/SAS Backplane

Storage connectivity is built around an S-ATA/SAS hot-swap backplane featuring SFF-8643 ports, supporting enterprise SAS hardware as easily as high-capacity SATA. Quick release carriers and direct-access placement keep drive maintenance fast, especially in rack environments where uptime matters.

Configurable Server Hardware Support

From compact embedded platforms to full dual-socket server boards, the internal layout allows Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX and SSI-EEB motherboards to slot in without compromise. Expansion card clearance up to 345mm supports dedicated RAID controllers, networking cards, and even GPUs when acceleration is part of the brief. Standard ATX or mini-redundant PSUs can be fitted depending on the operating model and power-redundancy expectations.

A steel chassis provides strong structural rigidity for rack installation, transport, and routine servicing. HDD status indicators assist with fast diagnostics, while a simple front I/O layout — including both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 — keeps on-site system interaction straightforward during deployment and maintenance.
