Featuring a superbly-balanced meranti body and a thin, flat and fast Wizard neck, the JEMJR was built to perform at the highest levels.
Ibanez also included their Quantum pickups for impressive dynamics and articulation. Of course, this being Steve Vai’s signature piece, you’ll also find a double Locking tremolo bridge system for mind-bending divebombs and flutters, whilst also offering steady tuning stability.

Quantum pickupsThe Steve Vai Signature JEMJR delivers incredible power and voicings thanks in part to the trio of Ibanez Quantum pickups. The neck pickup delivers a fat, warm and rich sound, whilst the bridge offers a rather sharper, more aggressive voice. Switching over to the middle single-coil sits somewhere nicely in the middle ground.
Quantum pickups are designed to cover all bases, including heavy riffing and fast shredding, but with plenty of responsive dynamics for playing at lower gain levels. Quantum pickups are perfect for live gigs with their presence and definition but they're great for recording too, cutting through even the most chaotic mixes.
