poor qualityPoor quality... the wire is not firm into the headset or the small volume -/+/x panel.
It took like 2 weeks for the wire to dislodge from the volume panel. That's the common problem with mics/headsets with values less than £15-20 ... the wires are loose and not firmly secure into the ends it takes only a small streatching for the wires to snap.

You get what you pay for. This isn't one of the cheapest headsets about for no reason, it's poorly made, Audio for the left and right speakers is the wrong way round so for games such as Counter Strike where audio cues are important you will have to wear this headset on backwards which means that the microphone wont work as well as it could as it can only be above your ear or behind your head in situations like this.
The microphone quality is similarly terrible as when it is used in it's correct position speaking with anything more than a low voice will blow it out and destroy the ears of whomever you're talking to.
The one redeeming feature of this headset is the fact that the audio quality is actually alright, not great, just alright. However this is completely overshadowed by the fact that after just 1 day of use the audio started arbitrarily cutting out for a split second every few seconds which can be extremely aggravating and the problem that caused me to write this review.
Overall, I would only recommend this to someone who is skint and in dire need of a gaming headset as it is only £12, otherwise you should save and get something that's two or three times the price and 10 times the quality.

Audio cuts off below a certain volumeI have been using these for less than 10 minutes, and I can't help but feel disappointed, the value is great, only bought these as a temp because the charging port on my Corsair Vengeance 2100s broke.
The big issue is that when the volume reaches a certain low, the audio cuts off completely meaning while doing anything that requires me to listen I get very annoying cut offs with the audio. While it is still workable I find it very frustrating that I only catch half a conversation unless I put my volume to near deafening levels, I won't be returning them as I am not bothered over eleven odd Pounds but I will be buying a high end set as soon as possible, also I don't think that these have a place being called "Mid end"

Cannot recommendBought one of these to as I was after a good value headset.
Couldn't have been more disappointed. The sound quality was terrible as there was a constant electronic static coming through the earpieces, other players on Teamspeak also reported the same noise through the microphone.
I don't know if I've got a small head, but the fit was terrible with only the upper half of the earcups even touching.
If you've got a large head and don't mind having a constant beeping hiss coming through your ears and microphone and want to spend as little as possible, then great!
If you don't, then spend some extra money and buy a decent brand like Plantronics or Logitech.
I returned the product to the store today and spent some extra money buying the Thermaltake Shock Gaming Headset (LN40598). Not had chance to try them out yet, but the build quality and packaging are far superior at least.

Great.... If it worksMy company bought 2 of these to try them out and they were great, the sound was suprisingly good for the price and the microphone, albeit a little crackly was largely quite good, we needed them so staff could work from home in bad weather/poor health etc so we didnt want to spend out on the expensive ones we use inside the office so we went ahead and bought 30 of them, the first 4 that came out the box didnt work, the next 5 did and then the next 3 were broken (ranging from only one 'ear' working, to sound being crackled or distorted or the Mic not working.
Basically, if it works, theyre great. I actually still use one of the original 2 we bought, however the other 30 have been returned.

Good product but channels reversedThis headset is very comfortable to wear and the headphones eliminate most of the ambient sound.
I am using this on a Linux Ubuntu 12.04 system and I had to download an update from the PPA (Personal Package Archive) to get the system to recognise them:
In a terminal window run;
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
You can then select them in the sound section of system settings.
The microphone is quite sensitive and does not need the input volume cranking up to get a decent level.
The only downside is that the channels seem to be reversed and as yet, I have not found a solution to this. For my own purposes, this is unimportant but some might find it irritating.
Overall I am please with this product.
