2-Port D-Link DES-122T Gigabit Ethernet Expansion Module for D-Link DES-1218 / DES-1226 Switches
The DES-122T is a two-port Gigabit Ethernet module designed for the DES-1218 and DES-1226 Switches, providing two 1000-BASE-T Ethernet ports. As an expansion module, the DES-122T increases throughput and connectivity at gigabit speeds to servers and switches, helping to alleviate any bottlenecks that might occur in the network. The DES-122T is targeted at small, medium, and large businesses, and is compliant with the IEEE 802.3ab 1000BASE-T standard, supporting full and half duplex for 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX respectively, and full duplex for 1000BASE-T.
The DES-122T endorses all of the Layer 3 functionalities that are equipped in the DES-1218 and DES-1226 switches, supporting: SNMP, VLAN ID, Port Mirroring, QoS and Port Trunking. Furthermore, DES-122T transmits and distributes data frame packets at Layers 2, 3 and 4 incorporating switching and routing technologies. The Des-122T implements IEEE 802.3x Flow Control in full-duplex mode and back pressure in half-duplex mode. It can also automatically detect MDI crossover connections, eliminating the need for specific crossover cables.
• Port Configuration: Equipped with 2 auto-sensing 10/100/1000Mbps ports, the module supports full/half duplex for 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX and full duplex for 1000BASE-T.
• Compliance: Adheres to IEEE standards, including 802.3 for 10BASE-T, 802.3u for 100BASE-TX, and 802.3ab for 1000BASE-T.
• Flow Control: Implements IEEE 802.3x Flow Control in full-duplex mode and back pressure in half-duplex mode.
• MDI/MDIX Auto-Sensing: Automatically detects MDI crossover connections, eliminating the need for specific crossover cables.
• Cabling Requirements: Supports UTP Cat. 5 or higher cables for 1000BASE-T connections, with a maximum length of 100 meters.
• LED Indicators: Features informative LED indicators displaying 1000BASE-T mode connections, link status, and data transmission activity.
