The K65 is my first mechanical keyboard, so maybe the reason I am very happy with it is because I didn't know how much I needed one. Even after only a couple of weeks of using it at home, the membrane keyboard I use at work feels harsh and every keypress is a jolt to my tired fingers. My K65 at home, however, is always a pleasure to type on. My fingers bounce and float from key to key. It sounds like I'm being overly poetic - but really I'm just surprised by how much better it is. If you've never used a mechanical keyboard then you don't know what you're missing.
Anyway, about *this* keyboard. The brushed steel is clean and modern. The raised keys look a bit odd at first but they are exceptionally easy to keep clean. The Cherry Red keys are quieter than other "colour" Cherry keys, as far as I know, and they don't click, but they do have a hushed and satisfying clatter, not unlike a keyboard in an 80's sci-fi flick (see Alien, or indeed Alien: Isolation, for reference).
The fabric braided USB cable is a nice extra feature. For keyboard+mouse gaming, I usually have my left hand at the cursor keys, but since most people use WASD, I can see why highlighting those keys is a good idea. It might even tempt me to try that configuration.
When choosing this keyboard I was concerned that it wouldn't turn out to be a UK layout, as I had read reviews at other vendors where people had ordered a UK version and got a French or US one. I can confirm that this version from Scan is a UK layout.
As for downsides, I'm still getting used to not having a numpad, but I have a very small desk, so the extra mouse space compensates nicely. The keys are stickered rather than engraved, but I think that's ok for the price. As I understand it, the keys are easy to replace anyway.
Overall, would wholeheartedly recommended.

You can not buy a better keyboard for the price. The build quality is amazing. The only downside is the odd sized space bar this makes it quite hard to buy a full set of custom key caps.

Great keyboard especially when you don't have much room like me I'd recommend buying some rubber o ring dampeners though as when you hit a key you easily bottom them out and they hit the aluminium backplate (which is awesome) and it makes a fair bit of noise but you can get a pack for about £7 so its not bad at all considering this keyboard is fairly cheap for a mechanical keyboard either way the build quality is amazing just like the m65 and I feel like it will last me a long time.

Tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with volume controls and UK layout(pictures are of the US version).
This is everything I was looking for so am very happy. Initially I thought that the F keys might be too close to the number keys but I have not had any problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Benjamin Compact, cool and strong!
I've had it a couple of weeks now and the difference between my old membrane keyboard is phenomenal! The cherry MX Red keys give it a great feel when playing fast paced games such as BF3. Not so suitable for typing! It has a nice weight to it that gives it a nice strong feel together with the Gunmetal gray anodized aluminum chassis it is durable and looks awesome! The small form factor is great for my desk as it give me more freedom with my mouse which improves my play in games! Altogether i cant fault the item the keys have a nice response so you can spam the keys and the build quality means that it wont break (touch wood). Buy it if your looking for a small keyboard for a nice PC gaming set up!
