Dive into a Huge Range of Drive Tones
with the Analague/Digital Hybrid OD-200

the only drive pedal you'll ever need
The introduction of the 200 series from Boss signals the dawn of a new breed of pedals, which showcase highly-advanced sound and innovation into a compact size, that’s pedal-board friendly. Intuitive controls and switches with multi-functionalities make using the 200 series easy and simpler than ever, whilst onboard memories allow you to save numerous setups for instantaneous recall.
Each of the pedals in the 200 range boast premium audio quality with 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit internal processing, and 96kHz sampling rate, alongside support for additional control through external switches such as expression pedals or MIDI.
The OD-200 ‘Hybrid Drive’ delivers next-generation sound, feel and versatility to what can sometimes feel like a tired and exhausted overdrive and distortion market. Through a combination of decades of BOSS tone, innovation and expertise, powered by a hybrid of digital and analogue circuitry, the OD-200 brings any drive tone you can possibly imagine to your setup via 12 primary modes, 15 boost types, series/parallel gain path and more.
You might be wondering, ‘with all this gain I’m going to need to invest in a noise gate!’, fear not, BOSS thought of this too, the OD-200 features a highly advanced gate, perfect for lessening unwanted noise and tightening up those rhythm chops.
Premium Drive Tones with BOSS’s Advanced Hybrid Design

A modern players dreamDue to the OD-200’s hybrid nature, the OD-200 blends analogue and digital clipping circuits with ease to bring you the best of both worlds, bringing a plethora of expressive drive textures to your fingertips. A dozen modes offer a wide palette of premium overdrive, fuzz and distortion sounds, including the widely-popular ‘Brown’ mode from the lauded Katana series.
Furthermore, with the 3 high-performance ‘X’ drive modes powered by BOSS’s revolutionary MDP tech, you’ll enjoy ultra-high definition, clarity and dynamic response that’s utterly perfect for the modern player.
Powerful Gain Shaping with Series and Parallel Boosts

unparalleled scope for shaping your toneWhilst the OD-200’s 12 main drive modes sound incredible on their own, the OD-200 allows you to shape these tones even further with a choice of 15 switchable boost circuits.
Placing the boost in the series means you can build traditional stacked drive voices, complete with post-gain level to balance with the bypasses sound or kick up the volume for solos.
The boost circuit can also be utilised in parallel with the primary mode, allows for side-by-side blending for an innumerable range of unique drive textures.
Deep Real-Time Control

extensive midi controlBy default, the OD-200’s multi-function footswitches control bypass, boost on/off, and memory scrolling, but it’s easy to reassign these to determine alternate functionalities as per your requirements. External control of almost any parameter is possible using footswitches or an expression pedal, and MIDI I/O is also provided on space saving mini TRS jacks. Via MIDI, it’s possible to chain multiple 200 series pedals and select memories on each of them at once, and also have full control over a variety of functions from MIDI devices like the ES-8 and ES-5 effects switchers.
Dial in Sounds FastThe OD-200 offers a multitude of advanced functionalities, whilst remaining as simple and intuitive as any BOSS stompbox you’ve used prior. With dedicated controls, it’s possible to quickly dial in the gain and overall level for any selected mode, then shape the tone with broad spectrum EQ over low's, mid's and high's. There’s even a multi-function parameter knob, which alters the operation based on the group selected with the panel’s parameter switch and LED status indicators.
