The Most Advanced EQ Pedal Ever
Boss EQ-200

SIMPLE - SOPHISTICATED2020 saw the release of a new series of pedals from stompbox overlords BOSS, the ‘200’ series.
This series marks a new generation of pedals that manages to condense ultra-advanced sound and versatility into a compact size. Despite the 200 series cutting-edge technology, BOSS have ensured the controls remain intuitive and operation is simple. Across the 200 series range, all pedals boast truly state-of-the-art audio quality with 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit internal processing and 96kHz sampling rate, alongside support for additional control via expression pedals or MIDI.
The EQ-200 is the most adaptable, versatile and compact EQ pedal ever created for guitar and bass. Featuring two wide-ranging 10-band EQ channels, alongside an incredibly useful backlit graphic display that shows the current curve at the slightest glance. Selectable signal flow structures adjust the channel for stereo, parallel, or series operation, and it’s even possible to patch in external pedals for deep pre/post tone tweaking. Furthermore, the frequency centres of each of the 10 bands can be set to 3 different types, allowing you to optimise the EQ-200’s behaviour and performance for different instruments.
Dual 10-Band EQs with Adjustable Range

32-bit/96 kHz engineWith its polished, modern design, 32-bit/96kHz engine and uber-low noise specs, the EQ-200 brings pin-point tone control with unmatched audio quality to the table.
Up to 15dB of cut or boost on each band is on offer, and each channel has its own level slider for balancing with the bypass sound or for cutting through in a solo boost when required. The central frequency configuration of the bands can be assigned to one of 3 types, allowing you to optimise the EQ-200’s equalisation for all types of instruments, from electric guitar, to keys and beyond.
Flexible Signal Flow and Pre/Post FX Insert

patch in an external pedalThe EQ-200’s variable signal flow structure means an extraordinary level of versatile tone shaping options are available here. The A and B channels can be joined together or utilised independently, and it’s also great fun to connect an external pedal, or even a chain of pedals, for pre-EQ and/or post-EQ processing.
When used in conjunction with overdrive, and in particular distortion pedals, this delivers an unreal level of power to hone your tone, think microscopic levels of detail in tone, and you’re getting close. Series mode runs the two EQ’s one after the other, meaning you’re able to shape your basic tone with one and set up the other for solos or further tone shaping.
Simple Interface and Visual EQ Display

fast, intuitive, and frustration-freeGetting to grips with the EQ-200 is quick, simple and frustration-free. Hands-on sliders provide straight-forward access to 10 EQ bands and master channel level, whilst the handy visual display offers a visual overview of the current EQ curve.
The dual channels are toggled with a dedicated panel button, and navigating deeper parameters is both rapid and efficient. With the useful ‘Panel Lock’ function, you can disable the controls to prevent any accidental error whilst operating other pedals on your board.
Deep Real-Time Control

MIDI connectivityIn its default setting, the EQ-200’s footswitches control EQ bypass and memory scrolling, but it is possible to reassign these to switch the channels on/off, choose specific memories and more. Control is also able to be undertaken via external footswitches, these are also freely assignable too. Alternatively, you can connect an expression pedal to control A or B channel levels, or even the overall output, which also makes for a brilliant volume pedal too!
MIDI I/O is an option too via mini TRS jacks, which allow for operation of a number of functions from external MIDI controllers and chain multiple 200 series pedals to select memories on each of them all at once.
Save and Recall Your Favorite SetupsThe EQ-200 features 127 user memories plus a real-time panel setting, giving you 128 total setups to choose from. Any range of consecutive memories and the panel setting can be assigned for scrolling access from a footswitch. It’s also possible to limit the scrolling range or assign memories directly for even faster recall. And if you crave deeper control, setups can be directly recalled via program change messages from an external MIDI device.

BOSS EQ-200With its refined design, 32-bit/96 kHz engine, and ultra-low noise specs, the EQ-200 delivers precision tonal control with superior audio quality. Up to 15 dB of cut or boost is available on each band, and each channel has a level slider for balancing with the bypass sound or kicking in a solo boost when needed.
The EQ-200’s variable signal flow structure (series, parallel, stereo, dual mono) offers an uncommon level of versatility in sculpting sounds. The A and B channels can be linked together or used independently, and you can also patch in an external pedal (or a chain of pedals) for pre-EQ and/or post-EQ processing.
