Blade - 'RH1 Custom'

FROM THE LEGENDARY GARY LEVINSON...
THE BLADE RH-1 Custom
Introducing the ‘RH-1 Custom’ from the esteemed ‘Blade’ guitars, founded by industry icon Gary Levinson.
In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.
Fast forward to the present day, and the results of Gary’s unwavering commitment to building the finest quality guitars, full of revolutionary innovations are plain to see in guitars such as this, the Blade RH-1 Custom. The RH-1 Custom features the ground-breaking ‘Variable Spectrum Control’ (VSC), Adjustable Tension Guide (ATG), and other innovations such as the Tapered Neck Joint to offer unparalleled access to the upper frets.
This is a truly professional guitar, for the professional guitarist. The RH-1 Custom radiates sheer quality right from the moment it’s in your
A Breathtaking 'Nightwood' Finish

LOOKS TO DIE FOR
The RH-1 Custom's body is unquestionably stunning, wrapped in slender curves and sleek routing for maximum comfort. The body is made from North American Alder, a popular choice of wood, used still to this day by some of the most revered manufacturers in the world today.
The use of North American Alder offers many advantages, both sonically and otherwise. Firstly, the use of Alder wood makes for a bold, clear and fully-voiced sound, with prominent mid’s and full-bodied lows. Secondly, Alder bodied guitars often weigh less than guitars made of, say, mahogany. Good news for those guitarists who often find themselves performing prolonged sets and for those long, hard days in the studio!
The fingerboard is made from maple, which is a perfect choice of wood for the RH-1 Custom due to it producing a brighter tone which really accentuates the high-end tonalities, well suited to some screaming rock licks! The neck itself is beautifully made and sit’s in the fretting hand with a brilliantly natural, comfortable feel
The Variable Spectrum Control (VSC)

INCREDIBLE SCOPE FOR VARIATION IN TONEAs mentioned earlier, the RH-1 Custom is a guitar which is rich in innovative and revolutionary technology, namely, the 'VSC' technology.
The Variable Spectrum Control is a means of tweaking the tone of the guitar. For example, if the piece of music you’re playing requires a thinner, more 'jangly' tone that you might normally expect from a single-coil pickup, no problem, just tweak the VSC and enjoy the chimey, bell-like tones you’d expect to find on an entirely different kind of guitar.
Need something a little creamier and little thicker, the VSC has you covered. Just open up the dedicated panel on the reverse of the guitar, turn a screw, and reap the rewards of the incredble VSC. Many guitars are portrayed to be versatile, but none can lay claim to be as versatile as the RH-1 Custom.
Decorated in Premium Hardware

STELLAR, VERSATILE HARDWAREThe RH-1 Custom is decorated in premium hardware from top to bottom. The RH-1 Custom features a Humbucker/Single-Coil/Single-Coil pickup arrangement for brilliant versatility in the tonal palette. In the bridge position is Gary Levinson designed ‘Levinson LH-55 Vintage Humbucker’ for searing, flaming hot rock licks and powerchords, whilst in the middle and neck position are 2 ‘VS-1 Single Coil’ pickups for the times when you need to cut through the mix with thinner, more bell-like tones.
The RH-1 Custom features Levinson’s own ‘Levinson FT-46 Tremolo’ with a steel block, the FT-46 offers huge scope and opportunity for whammy-bar abuse, whilst still retaining it’s rock-solid tuning thanks to the locking machine-heads.
The RH-1 Custom's controls offer a 5-way pickup selector switch offering a wide choice of pickup choices, volume and tone controls. The tone pot also acts as a coil tap, simply tap the tone pot and the RH-1 Custom's bridge humbucker transforms to a single coil style pickup instantly.
If you're in the market for a genuinely versatile guitar, with looks to die for and playability and tones that are out of this world, nothing comes close to the Blade RH-1 Custom.
