Blade - 'RH1 Classic'

Blade - 'RH1 Classic'

FROM THE LEGENDARY GARY LEVINSON...
THE BLADE RH1 Classic
Introducing the ‘RH1 Classic’ from the esteemed ‘Blade’ guitars, founded by industry icon Gary Levinson.

In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.

Fast forward to the present day, and the results of Gary’s unwavering commitment to building the finest quality guitars, full of revolutionary innovations are plain to see in guitars such as this, the Blade RH1 Classic. The RH1 Classic features the ground-breaking ‘Variable Spectrum Control’ (VSC), Adjustable Tension Guide (ATG), Levinson designed pickups and an utterly spectacular finish, topped off with seriously cool black hardware.

This is a truly magnificent guitar, for the discerning rock/metal guitarist. The RH-1 Classic has modern features and functionalities, but with that classic and timeless vibe that feels like an old friend when you pick up this genuinely beautiful guitar. The RH-1 oozes sheer quality right from the moment it’s in your hands. If you’re in the market for the ultimate rock/metal electric guitar, with looks which will command the attention of your audience, look no further than this jaw-dropping RH-1 Classic from Blade.

A Stunning, Sleek Finish

Blade - 'RH1 Classic'

LOOKS TO DIE FORThe slender, sleek body of the ‘RH-1 Classic’ from Blade is made from North American Alder, a popular choice of wood, used still to this day by some of the most revered manufacturers in the world today.

The use of North American Alder offers many advantages, both sonically and otherwise. Firstly, the use of Alder wood makes for a bold, clear and fully-voiced sound, with prominent mid’s and full-bodied lows. Secondly, Alder bodied guitars often weigh less than guitars made of, say, mahogany. Good news for those guitarists who often find themselves performing prolonged sets and for those long, hard days in the studio.

The ‘RH-1 Classic’ fingerboard is made from Pau Ferro, arguably similar in appearance to rosewood, but tighter in grain which results in a ‘snappier’ tone. Pau Ferro offers a deep, warm tone, and a smooth playing experience underneath the fingers. The neck itself is beautifully made and sit’s in the fretting hand with a brilliantly natural, comfortable and familiar feel. The neck is super-fast and extremely encouraging to play!

The Variable Spectrum Control (VSC)

Blade - 'RH1 Classic'

INCREDIBLE SCOPE FOR VARIATION IN TONEAs mentioned earlier, the ‘RH-1 Classic’ is a guitar which is rich in innovative and revolutionary technology, namely, the 'VSC' technology.

The Variable Spectrum Control is a means of tweaking the tone of the guitar. For example, if the piece of music you’re playing requires a thinner, more 'jangly' tone that you might normally expect from a single-coil pickup, no problem, just tweak the VSC, flick the switch and enjoy the chimey, bell-like tones you’d expect to find on an entirely different kind of guitar.

Need something a little creamier and little thicker, the VSC has you covered. Just open up the dedicated panel on the reverse of the guitar, turn a screw, and reap the rewards of the incredible VSC. Many guitars are portrayed to be versatile, but none can lay claim to be as versatile as the ‘RH-1 Classic’.

Stellar Hardware

Blade - 'RH1 Classic'

BLADE - 'RH-1 Classic'The ‘RH-1 Classic’ is decorated in premium hardware from top to bottom. The ‘RH-1 Classic’ features a powerful humbucker in the bridge position, and cutting single coils to deliver solid punch and bite that you'd expect from an instrument such as the ‘RH-1 Classic’. In the bridge position is a Gary Levinson designed humbucker for raucous rhythms and electric licks, whilst in the middle and neck positions you'll find true single coil pickups, for those seductive leads and arpeggiated passages.

The ‘RH-1 Classic’s controls feature a 5-way pickup selector switch offering a wide palette of tones. Whilst in the 1st position, this selects the bridge pickup, the middle position will select the middle single coil, whilst in the 5th position, this leaves the neck pickup active. The volume and tone controls are placed well out of the way so as to avoid any accidental knocks and the pots themselves are solid and sturdy and are easy to grip.

If you're in the market for the ultimate rock/metal machine that is sure to turn heads, playability to die for and classic tones that are out of this world, nothing comes close to the Blade ‘RH-1 Classic’.
