Music Creators Package
The Audeze LCD-X creator pack has been improved with the addition of a lightweight travel case. This is more practical for many travellers than the larger waterproof travel case. It is compact and enables you to put it inside a suitcase or cabin bag more easily, rather than it having to be a piece of luggage on it's own.
Since it's release, the LCD-X has become THE headphone for Professional Audio users. Many of the world's biggest records have been mixed and/or mastered with Audeze headphones. These includes songs from Ed Sheeran, Adele, John Mayer, Kanye West, Lorde, Imagine Dragons and many others. Perhaps more amazing is the fact these engineers and producers never used headphones in their workflow until they heard Audeze!.
After consulting many producers and mix engineers using LCD range headphones, we realised that the majority kept them in the studio, where they were used with the single ended (quarter inch jack) cable. This isnt a downgrade of the LCD-X itself, which still comes with a premium braided quater inch cable, but the flightcase and balanced cable are now not included as standard, but of course can be bought separately if required.
If you do have a dedicated DAC / Amp (such as the excellent iFi 'Zen Dac', Lake People 'G109P' or RME 'ADI-2 DAC'), then you can unlock another level of detail and precision.
The reference-level LCD-X is an exciting addition to the LCD planar magnetic headphone collection. The LCD-X features a newly-developed and processed transducer made of a thinner and lighter alternative material.

Exclusive LCD-X Planar Magnetic Technology

The Engineers Best Friend Audeze had one goal in mind when designing the LCD range of headphones "To recreate sound precisely as the artist intended". The LCD range produce incredibly accurate and detailed sound, which has won Audeze many awards in the Hi-Fi world and gained many professional studio users including Ken Andrews (Paramore, Nine Inch Nails), Rob Swire (Pendulum / Knife Party), Richie Hawtin, Andy C & Noisia, as well as many of the world's leading mastering engineers.
• Audeze Headphones utilise Planar Magnetic technology which overcome many of the limitations of cone-based drivers.
• Unlike conventional cones which are attached to a voice coil with a single magnet, Planar Magnetic drivers have two sets of magnets, with the diaphragm etched onto a wafer-thin film in between them with one set of magnets pushing as one set pulls. As the magnetic field is distributed across the entire diaphragm, it can move faster, reproducing the waves much more accurately and also reduces distortion. Other headphones and speakers often have square waves that look more like sawtooths, due to the cone not being able to move as fast as required.
• Planar magnetic drivers are also a lot more durable than dynamic drivers as only the diaphragm actually moves in the headphones, so the drivers wont degrade as they get older.
• Audeze made many changes to the basic planar magnetic design, with them being renowned for their extended low frequency response and exceptionally sharp transients.
Designed, Engineered in Audeze's California Factory

Refined Aluminium Finish
You'll be proud of how the LCD-X looks and sounds; it's imbued with sophisticated looks and beautiful anodized aluminium rings that are manufactured at Audeze's facility. The quality of the entire structure guarantees years of trouble-free listening. The cutting-edge designs and circuit technologies have created a breathtakingly beautiful sounding headphone.
These include the new "Fazor" waveguides in each earphone assembly. The Fazor elements improve clarity, focus and the already spectacular holographic imaging. The two Fazor elements are placed just outside the two magnet structures that surround the diaphragm in each capsule. They guide and manage the flow of sound around the magnets.

What's in the Box?
• LCD-X planar magnetic headphones
• 1.9m 1/4'' to dual 4-pin mini-XLR cable
• User guide and warranty card
• Carry Case

RME Audio - ADI-2 DAC

Ultra-Fidelity PCM/DSD 768kHz DA Converter
The ADI-2 DAC from RME features an enhanced SteadyClock, finely-tuned analogue circuitry, a brand-new MRC remote control, ‘Extreme Power’ headphone out and an exceptional IEM output. Featuring all the hallmarks that made the ADI-2 Pro so widely acclaimed, including its wonderfully clear signature sound and full capability of DSP processing, with 5 band EQ, crossfeed and much more.
The ADI-2 DAC now features more streamlined, intuitive operation, aswell as a beautiful new aesthetic design, it truly is the perfect centrepiece for any audio lovers home.
An Evolution

A whole host of new and improved features
The ADI-2 DAC is an evolution of the ADI-2 Pro, optimised for home and hi-fi use. With a host of new, exciting and innovative features and a number of handy functionalities, the ADI-2 DAC quickly became the reference. With thanks to its combination of pro-level DA conversion, with dual IEM outputs and remote control, it has been acclaimed worldwide with lauding reviews for its versatility, sound and technical efficiency.
Fast forward to now, the current version of the ADI-2 DAC ships with a newly designed remote control, enhanced DA conversion and an adapted analogue output stage for even greater noise and distortion values. To account for the ADI-2 DAC’s intended home use market, RME changed some of the Pro’s studio functionalities for one’s which would better suit home and hi-fi use. Featuring an adapted list of features and simplified overall operation, RME is proud to present the ADI-2 DAC. Built and designed on the lauded technology and concept of the ADI-2 Pro, the DAC now focuses on DA conversion in ultra-high quality, alongside exceptional dual headphone and IEM outs.
The Ultimate DAC
Nothing comes close Inside the compact 19” format factor, the ADI-DAC 2 is packed with only the highest quality electronic components, which acts as a reference class conversion from SPDIF coaxial, SPDIF optical (ADAT compatible) and USB to RCA, XLR, TRS and mini-TRS.

The ADI-2 DAC is the most versatile DAC on the market, it offers balanced/unbalanced analogue I/O’s, an ‘Extreme Power’ headphone output, an incredibly super low noise IEM out, SteadyClock FS, 4-stage hardware output level control, DSP based signal processing, external power supply operation, Class Compliant USB compatibility, sample rates up to 768 kHz as well as DSD and Direct DSD playback. Nothing else comes close.
Super Low Noise For IEM lovers

Super low noise floor
The dawn of the headphone revolution brought not only headphones, but IEM’s to the forefront for audiophiles and music aficionados alike. Today’s IEM’s have a reference that can compete with traditional over-ear headphones, which make them not just an alternative for when you’re on the go, but also for home use.
Modern day IEM’s are super sensitive and run on extremely low voltages. The downside to this is that they pickup the noise floor of the source. When RME was developing it’s ‘Extreme Power’ headphone stage, great care and attention was paid to ensure the noise floor was as low as possible. RME wanted to ensure that even the most sensitive IEM, coupled with the most sensitive listener’s ear could enjoy the whole dynamic range upon playback.
The solution? Adding the most advanced IEM output possible as second phones connection to the front panel of the ADI-2 DAC. The resulting playback must be heard to be believed.
Hit The Lights!

AutoDark Mode If a studio converter’s display had all display lighting off, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was faulty. However, on a DAC it was one of the most requested features RME received from their ADI-2 Pro HiFi customers. The ADI-2 DAC’s display, function keys, volume knob and standby button all switch off after a period of 10 seconds of no user operation after ‘AutoDark’ mode is selected. Using the ADI-2 DAC’s remote, ‘AutoDark’ mode can be selected on or off, and pressing any button turns the lighting on for 3 seconds. A cool feature for sure!
SteadyClock FS

impressive new tech The ADI-2 DAC marks a first for a product in RME’s range, as it is the first to feature SteadyClock FS. SteadyClock really couldn’t be improved upon much, it collected heaps of praise and accolades from years of sublime operation in a number of RME products, ensuring that using the internal clock will produce precisely the same sound as if an external one was to be used. SteadyClock expertly rejects jitter and handles all digital interface formats in a flawless manner. This is why SteadyClock’s design didn’t alter in the DAC. SteadyClock FS focus was largely placed on reducing the self jitter of SteadyClock to new lows, by enhancing it’s second analogue PLL circuit, and referencing both Direct and Digital Synthesis and PLL to a low phase noise quartz crystal. The self jitter measured through DA conversion now reaches levels that are normally only available in master quartz clock mode, while SteadyClock still always runs in PLL mode – no matter if it's the internal or external clock, the sound is precisely the same. The low phase noise oscillator which drives the updated circuit reaches jitter specs lower than a picosecond, something called, ‘Femtosecond’, hence the name ‘SteadyClock FS’.
