Product Overview
Your work deserves to be viewed in the best way.
As the race to get the best quality picture and hit the equivalent of the Human Visual System (HVS) goes on, High Dynamic Range (HDR) is becoming ever more important to broadcasts, film and video projects. When your video is displayed with no HDR enabled, the colours become washed out and nowhere near what you actually captured.
The AJA FS-HDR is a rack-mounted solution to that issue. AJA have designed the FS-HDR specifically to meet the growing expectations of not only video creators and broadcasters, but the audience that consumes the content that is put out.
This universal converter and frame synchronizer supports not only HDR, but WCG (Wide Colour Gamut) and can fit into the workflow of a live or post environment. Powered by the Colorfront Engine™, its advanced algorithms can transform your HDR-less footage into something so much more.
FS-HDR is also a full, 1-Channel up, down, cross-converter for 4K/UltraHD/2K/HD for the ultimate multi-tool for HDR transformation. It can also support 4 independent 2K/HD conversions in its 4-Channel mode, while applying the HDR. This also works with one source to four different versions, so you have all bases covered.
You don't even need to touch the FS-HDR to apply settings, as through the software, you can control it remotely through the Internet.
In a live environment, the FS-HDR can take on a variety of modern cameras from the professional circle. Utilising the LOG output, you'll see the conversions happen in real time, easing the workflow as it goes down the line.
If you need to convert your footage into something that needs to support an older monitor or perhaps older footage that needs to be upscaled to support modern monitors, the Up, Down, Cross-Conversion method that AJA have implemented within the FS-HDR allows you to take on legacy signals over 12G/6G/3G-SDI and then send it back.
Video is making the leap forward, you should too.
