The Ubiquiti Standard Switch 48 is a 1U rack-mount Layer 2 switch with 48 x 1GbE RJ45 ports and 4x 1G SFP ports for fibre connectivity, giving the switch a total of 52 network interfaces. A 1.3" touchscreen LCM display provides on-device information at a glance.

Switching Performance

With a 104 Gbps switching capacity and 52 Gbps total non-blocking throughput, the Standard 48 provides full-speed switching across its network ports. Its forwarding rate reaches 77 Mpps, while a 1.5 MB packet buffer and support for jumbo frames help accommodate larger network traffic flows. The switch supports up to 1,000 VLANs and has a 16,000-entry MAC address table.

Layer 2 Networking

The Standard 48 supports LACP port aggregation, STP and RSTP, flow control, storm control and loop protection. For multicast traffic, it includes IGMP snooping and advanced IGMP configuration with Querier, Fast Leave and Router Port functions. Multicast and broadcast rate limiting is also supported.

Network Security & Access Control

Security features include 802.1X control, MAC-based ACLs and device isolation, DHCP snooping and guarding, MAC address blocking, MAC-based port restriction and port isolation. IPv4 ACLs and IP-based ACLs support network isolation, with capacity for 128 IPv4 ACL entries and 128 MAC ACL entries.

Traffic Management & Device Features

Egress rate limiting, port mirroring, LLDP-MED, Voice VLAN and Virtual Network Override are supported alongside the switch's access-control and traffic-management features. These functions provide additional control over connected devices, voice traffic and network visibility.

Fanless Hardware

The Standard 48 uses a silent, fanless cooling system, with a maximum power consumption of 40W. Power is supplied through an internal 60W AC/DC power supply supporting universal 100–240V AC input at 50/60 Hz. Heat dissipation is rated at 136.5 BTU/hr.
