The P-525 is the flagship model of the worldrenowned Yamaha P-Series of compact digital pianos, offering authentic feel, exquisite sound, and further enhanced keyed instrument Voices.

The piano Voices are two world-class concert grand pianos: the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial. Its speaker output and the variety and quality of its Voices, including organs and electric pianos, are vastly enhanced from its predecessor, the P-515.

The wooden keyboard—highly acclaimed for its feel— has been upgraded from the NWX keyboard to the 88-key GrandTouch-S™ keyboard. This brings the playing experience even closer to the touch of a grand piano.

With the Registration Memory function for saving and recalling settings and other useful and convenient features for intimate live performances, the P-525 is also well equipped to serve as a stage piano.

'Grand Expression Modeling'Acoustic grand pianos emit sound through the complex movements of a vast number of parts, namely hammers connected to the keys that strike strings inside a wooden case that amplifies the sound. This mechanism, which took centuries to perfect, is absent from digital pianos. Yamaha uses proprietary know-how and technology to simulate the sound produced by the grand piano mechanism in its digital pianos.

Grand Expression Modeling digitally simulates tonal variance by accurately sensing the slightest differences in the speed and intensity of the player’s input. Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) simulates and outputs the rich tones produced by the vibrations and sympathetic resonance of the strings, damper, body, and duplex scaling of a grand piano in response to the player’s input on the keyboard.
