The Unitree Go2 EDU Plus is a premium, education-focused quadruped robot designed for advanced researchers, educators, and developers demanding superior AI computing, extended sensor integration, and enhanced modular capabilities. Building on the core Go2 EDU platform, the EDU Plus variant adds powerful processing, rich sensor options, and greater operational flexibility—perfect for sophisticated robotics research, teaching, and industrial applications.

Constructed with a modular aluminum alloy frame the Go2 EDU Plus weighs approximately 15 kg including battery and supports a typical payload of 8 kg (up to 12 kg maximum). It features 12 high-torque joint motors each delivering up to 45 N·m of torque with advanced heat pipe cooling, enabling agile locomotion such as walking, running at speeds up to 3.7 m/s (max 5 m/s), climbing slopes of up to 40°, jumping, and handling drops up to 16 cm.

At its sensory core, the EDU Plus integrates Unitree’s proprietary 4D LiDAR L1 sensor with ultra-wide 360°×90° hemispherical perception and minimal blind spots starting at 0.05 m. This is complemented by an Intel RealSense D435i depth camera, foot force sensors, a high-precision IMU, and optional advanced 3D LiDAR upgrades such as the Mid-360 or Hesai XT16 systems for exceptional spatial awareness, obstacle avoidance, and 3D environmental mapping. The ISS 2.0 (Intelligent Side-follow System) further enhances autonomous navigation and remote vector positioning with extended remote control distance up to 30 meters.

Processing power comes from a high‑performance 8‑core CPU as standard, with optional NVIDIA Jetson Orin modules—including the Orin NX (up to 100 TOPS) or Orin Nano (40 TOPS)—available for users needing greater AI computing capability. These upgrades support complex real‑time AI applications, voice recognition and commands, and interactive customization. Dual real‑time operating systems manage motion control and environment sensing seamlessly, facilitating advanced project development in ROS, C++, Python, and graphical programming environments.

Connectivity is seamless with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and 4G module supporting over-the-air updates and remote operation. The rechargeable 8,000mAh battery provides up to 2 hours of runtime, with an optional 15,000mAh battery for extended missions and fast-charging solutions that reduce downtime during experiments and hands-on activities.

Your new robot will also be provided with Long Endurance battery (15,000 mAh), allowing between 2-4 hours of continuous operation before charging as well as a Fast Charger for quicker battery fill ups.
