What's Different About The Torpedo Captor X +?
True Stereo DynIR EngineFor Independent mic/IR positioning & panning (in STEREO mode). Place and pan two microphones or static IRs independently to create a 3D stereo soundstage. Each Mic or IR Channel now has a dedicated Mic pan control and independent Mic EQ. The Output stage features a Stereo Enhancer, Stereo REVERB and the TWIN TRACKER.
Virtual Load ShaperThis offers a selection of preset post-load impedance curves to vary the processed direct tone from your loadbox. Monitor the results instantly via the XLR outputs or headphones, choosing from expertly curated options — or your own custom profile — that add warmth, tighten lows, or emphasize bite.
Enhanced Routing CapabilityIn Dual Mono with per-side control (in DUAL/MONO Mode). Each XLR output automatically receives its own mic/IR channel, with independent mic- and post-FX chains per mic/output for precise tonal control. The Post FX Suite available for each Mic Channel includes a Mic EQ, a mono ENHANCER, a Mono REVERB and an Output EQ. DUAL/MONO can operate in a mode where both microphones (or both IRs) combine into a single blended signal after the Mic EQ and ENHANCER stages, using the MIC A/B Mixdown (Virtual Cabinet Mode) or the IR A/B Mixdown (IR Loader Mode) switches. In this configuration, the blended signal is sent to both XLR outputs. Each output features its own independent Output Post-FX chain (REVERB and an Output EQ) for output-specific tonal shaping.
