The Torpedo Captor is a reactive load box, DI box, attenuator and speaker sim all in one fan-cooled box! Inspired by the company’s hugely popular ‘Torpedo Reload’, the Torpedo Captor is the definitive solution for quietening your amp’s volume without sacrificing tone, alongside sending your amp’s true tone to a PA or recording rig.
Designed for amps up to a maximum of 100 watts, the Torpedo Captor’s -20db attenuator enables cranked tone at bedroom friendly volumes, as well as integrated speaker simulation so you can capture the raw power and intensity of your amp to your chosen DAW, without the need to mic your cab!

The Captor’s analogue speaker simulation is taken from the celebrated ‘Le Preamp’ series. This will add an authentic, detailed and focused tone for your monitor on FOH, all whilst keeping a low volume on stage.

Format, versionsThe Captor is the size of a large DI box, so you can conveniently place it on your pedalboard or on top of your amp. The Captor comes in 4, 8 or 16 Ohm versions, make sure to get the one that matches with your amp.
AttenuatorIf you wish to keep a cabinet on stage, the Captor features a direct speaker THRU or ATT output. It allows for full volume or a fixed – 20dB attenuation. Keep your amp in its sweet spot while at manageable volumes.
One Box - Multiple Applications
Silent, direct, analogueLighten the load with cab-less setup and plug straight into the FOH desk. The Torpedo Captor is everything you’ll need to mic your amp, without ever actually needing a mic! The Torpedo Captor is a reliable amplifier DI box, engineered to be used between your amp and speaker cab.
All of this doesn’t involve and changes for you as a guitarist or bassist, you can play your amp as you normally would, whilst the PA receives a speaker simulated signal, perfect for the FOH. Two Notes Torpedo Captor is able to be powered via 48V Phantom Power, eliminating the requirement for an external power supply.
Your tone...just quieterTwo Notes Torpedo Captor is also useful in helping to reduce the overall volume of your amp. Through using the power attenuated speaker output, you’re able to crank your amp to the point the tubes really start to glow, all whilst keeping a reasonable volume emanating from your speaker cabinet. This keeps your tone consistent, but at a low level.
Ultimate direct solutionThe Torpedo Captor adds an amplifier input to your sound interface. You can mic your amplifier without the need of a specially designed miking room. Miking can be achieved through the Torpedo WoS cab sim plug-in software.
The Torpedo Captor can be used for power attenuation or silent playing of your amplifier.
Monitoring can be achieved through the embedded guitar or bass speaker simulation, or through the Torpedo WoS plug-in software. You can also pair the Torpedo Captor with a Torpedo C.A.B. M to have studio-grade cab sim for your tube amp, without the need of a computer.
