My internet access is literally at my front door, and my front room is the other side of the flat, and on the other side of the hall. So for my gaming desktop, a cable is a no-go, sadly. I used WiFi extenders, however gamers beware! These things have some sort of wierd built-in "swing." I have no idea what it is, but under high demand, it will boot you off now and then for up to a few minutes. I tried about 5 different brands, all the same. But this simple PCIe adapter is cheaper, but powerful, and it WORKS!! Gaming has been smooth ever since!! And, incase you aren't knowledgeable on such things, you can fit this PCIe x1 into any PCIe 1, 4, 8, or 16 slot.

No problems though, I just contacted SCAN and asked which adapter would be appropriate and I bought this. VERY easy to fit, even though I have no knowledge of computer inner workings.
