Super Smart & Ultra CompactThe Tantrum Audio Really Mean Sub have created a subwoofer that delivers tight low end, blending power and clarity. Many subwoofers fall short on accuracy—high excursion drivers can result in a smeared impulse response. This sub features a feedforward correction system, Impulse Control, that sees into the future and stops excess motion before it happens. The result is bass so tight your mastering engineer will be pleased.
A built in USB-C controlled DSP is available on both the subwoofer and main monitor outputs. Through pristine class AB output stages, it finds those room modes you pretend not to hear. You'll need new excuses for why that kick drum doesn't translate. This balanced configuration cancels out any remaining reactive forces inside the exceptionally robust 24mm thick sandwich baffle MDF enclosure. Structural vibrations are reduced, improving intermodulation distortion and allowing you to make faster, more accurate decisions.
At just 28cm tall, the Really Mean Sub scores high on partner approval. But with 400W of ICEpower amplification inside, this subwoofer delivers bass that stays brutally clean even when cranked.
