The most noticeable aspect of the GLN12E is certainly the original NEX body shape; this slightly downsized jumbo acoustic is utterly perfect for singer songwriters, solo artists and those in need of a well balanced acoustic, but without the bulky nature of the traditional dreadnought.
The GLN12E has been expertly crafted around a solid spruce top and okoume back and sides. The end result is a well-balanced and beautifully voiced sound, full of richness and warmth. Takamine included a comfortable mahogany neck, offering ease of playability up and down the neck, in part thanks to its shorter scale measuring 630mm.

Measuring 630mm, 15mm shorter than usual, this results in easier bends, more comfortable fretwork and greater low end, meaning added warmth.
