perfect for Vocals with a soaring MidrangeSony’s C-80 is a versatile uni-directional condenser microphone suitable for vocal/voice recording. Inheriting the microphone capsule used in Sony’s C-100 and using the same material as the C-800G for the diaphragm, this microphone inherits the essence of the predecessors.
The dual diaphragm configuration suppresses sound characteristics changes with distance (proximity effect), enabling stable recording/distribution. "Noise Elimination Construction" succeeded from C-800G/C-100 prevents acoustic vibration resulting in low noise and clear sound.

Dual-Diaphragm Design
cardioid polar patternAt the core of the C-80's excellent sonic character is the dual-diaphragm microphone element, which helps to minimize proximity effects for sonically consistent recordings. In addition, the cardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture at the area around the mic, reducing unwanted sound from the rear and sides.
Aluminum BodyThe C-80 microphone incorporates a two-part aluminum body that helps to prevent acoustic vibration from reaching the microphone capsule, resulting in clarity of sonic reproduction.
