The 2019 SHIELD TV line-up uses a new Tegra X1+ processor with even faster graphics and AI performance than the previous generation. This enables Shield to continue to have snappier performance and high-end gameplay, not available on other streaming boxes like Roku Ultra, Fire TV Cube, and other Android TV devices like Mi Box S. It also opens up the door to new AI capability which we will talk about in a moment.

This allows users to watch content like YouTube videos or 720 broadcasts, captured in SD (480/540) or HD (720) and upscale them to 4K resolution to create a crisper picture.
