The Dream Air SE SLAM – the more accessible and affordable of the Dream Air variants – shifts away from external tracking hardware and instead uses inside-out 6DoF SLAM tracking. Motion tracking is handled by four integrated cameras, removing the need for Lighthouse base stations while keeping full positional tracking within the Air itself. This version is aimed at users who want a self-contained tracking setup.

Dual Sony Micro-OLED Lenses

The Air uses dual Micro-OLED panels at 2560 × 2560 pixels per eye, running at a 90Hz refresh rate. Paired with Pimax ConcaveView pancake optics, the display stack delivers a 105 degree horizontal field of view, focusing on high pixel density for fine detail clarity.

6DoF SLAM Tracking with Quad Cameras

Inside-out 6DoF tracking is handled by SLAM using four integrated cameras positioned on the Air. This removes dependence on external base stations and enables full positional tracking directly from the device.

Eye Tracking & Rendering

Eye-tracking is included on the Air SE, along with foveated rendering support, allowing rendering load to concentrate where the user is actively looking.

Internally Cooled, Comfortable Wearing

A dual-fan cooling system is built into the Air, designed to support higher panel brightness while maintaining thermal stability during extended sessions.

Audio and Comms

Integrated spatial audio and a built-in microphone are included, providing onboard sound output and voice input without external peripherals.
