Virtual reality is often cited as the next big thing in consumer technology, yet the concept seems outlandish and millions of us have absolutely no experience with VR devices, making it difficult to know exactly where to get started.

Oculus Quest All-In-One VR Gaming System, 64GB, Wireless, Inc. Headset + L/R Touch Controllers, No PC Required is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oclus Quest (64gb) Amazing VR headset, very comfortable and the controllers are extremely ergonomic. Space on the 64GB version was a concern however presently games are not that large so should be OK, graphically it is amazing and so much clearer than the PlayStation VR. thoroughly recommend you go out and buy one of these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is great fun for everyone Doesn't matter if you are a seasoned gamer or a newbie, this is a lot of fun. The fact that the tracking is internal and you don't require any wires or external sensors is a game changer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing service I’ve ordered this product on Friday and in next 18 hours already had it in my hands. Decently packed and great surprise was all 3 episodes of Vader immortal for free in value of 24£. Already recommended to other people desperately seeking for Oculus Quest

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, well-designed product If you've never tried a proper VR headset before, i.e. one with two controllers not the terrible phone-as-a-screen Google cardboard type things, then this is the perfect starting point! I've owned a Dell Visor, which is a Windows Mixed Reality headset for a while now and can honestly say the Quest is just a little bit better in every single way! Having tried the Rift S, it's clear the Rift S is the very slightly better headset - better fit and optics - however that's not standalone/wireless and that's a huge difference to the freedom and total lack of faff/requirement for a decent gaming PC that the Quest gives you! Pros: The controllers are much more ergonomic, the setup time/faff is absolutely minimal (you put on the headset, it tells you to draw your play zone and you're done), the cable-free nature of it means you can really spin around freely without getting tangled up. With Oculus Link also available now you can also plug into a PC and play all your usual SteamVR games - or use apps such as Virtual Desktop or ALVR etc. to stream the games to your Quest wirelessly! Note that not all USB cables work for Oculus Link, you need a decent quality cable that supports fast data transfer and not just a charge cable (the supplied charging cable does not work for example). If you have a search around there are recommendations of which to get - if they aren't out of stock! Oh, you can also cast your Quest screen to a supported Chromecast (unfortunately that means a 3rd Gen Chromecast, or the Nvidia Shield) so that the people around you can watch and hear what you're doing. Cons: The headset is front-heavy, so it rests just below the bottom of your eyes/on the upper cheeks. This can be fixed by adding a counterweight of some kind to the back of the head strap - people recommend a battery pack so you can recharge easily on the go. Oculus Store - out of the box the only way you can buy/play games is via the in-built Oculus Store which tbf isn't bad, but the selection of games is not very large, especially compared to the desktop Oculus Store or SteamVR. As mentioned above though you can play games from those stores by plugging in a decent USB cable. Cross-platform games are actually quite rare (by this I mean games in SteamVR or the Oculus Desktop Store, and games in the Oculus Quest Store). Take Beat Saber for example, if you buy that on Steam, or on the Oculus Desktop Store, you cannot play natively on the Quest, you'd have to plug in and use Oculus link. The reason for this is native Quest games are Android games and games running on the PC are obviously not Android games. Some developers will let you purchase one and have it on both platforms, however it seems the majority require you to buy on both, with the reason being they have to do more development to support both which I guess is kind of fair enough. Hurts the wallet if you already own a bunch of games on Steam and have to re-buy them again for native Quest play (e.g. Beat Saber, Superhot, etc)! Battery life isn't great, if you're playing something intense you're talking 3-4 hours or so, but I rarely get time to play such long stints and it does charge fairly fast so it's not a deal breaker for me.

We have had the head set now for 4 weeks, and I still get the same excitement every time I switch it on. The whole family use it.

Questions & Answers

Expandable memory ?

Does this have an option to up the memory from 64gb or is it limited to this amount ?
Asked by: H3xus
There's no SD card slot so I'm afraid you're stuck with the size you buy (64GB or 128GB). That said, 64GB of Android games is quite a lot and download speeds are generally pretty fast these days so you can always re-download stuff when you want it, so I think 64GB is fine - it's the one I decided on getting and am happy with the space.
