The NVIDIA 980-9I510-00NS00 Twin Port 800Gb/s OSFP SR8 Multimode Transceiver is a high-performance networking solution designed for both InfiniBand and Ethernet environments. With 800G SR8 multimode capability, it features 8 channels of 100G-PAM4 electrical modulation and two ports of 4-channel 100G-PAM4 optical modulation, delivering robust data transfer speeds. This transceiver supports two straight 400Gb/s or two 1:2 splitter fibre cables for 200Gb/s, making it versatile for various networking configurations. Engineered with a finned-top OSFP for air-cooled switches and a flat-top OSFP for DGX-H100 or liquid-cooled setups, it ensures efficient cooling and adaptability. The 850nm VCSEL allows a maximum reach of 30m using OM3 fibre and 50m with OM4 fibre, while the two MPO-12/APC optical connectors ensure seamless connectivity. With a maximum power consumption of 17 watts, a low-power sleep mode of 1.5 watts, and compliance with OSFPMSA.org and CMIS 4.0 standards, this transceiver is both powerful and energy-efficient.
