Rated 5 out of 5 by Sporus from Good... but Android TV This is an excellent digi-stick as it should be for the price, compared to lesser models. The video enhancement and the memory capacity means it outperforms most options. The only shortcomings it has are endemic to the range of media available to Android TV (e.g. no Channel 4 app etc., although there are usually 'workarounds')...

Rated 5 out of 5 by MancMark from Shield Rocks! I bought this on recommendation from a friend who owned one of the older models. Having owned a couple of Android TV boxes I can safely say that NVIDIA have done a fantastic job with the Shield. Everything about the device screams quality, the remote feels great in the hand, the back lit buttons great and the ability to find the remote via the mobile app or by pressing the power button on the Shield is a stroke of genius! It's not all good though, to ensure a great user experience NVIDIA have disabled certain features of Android, whilst there are ways around them it's still a faff especially when you consider they have blocked all internet browsers. You can side load apps in the same way you would on any Android device but it feels like a very heavy handed approach to take. I can't comment on the NVIDIA game store as I won't be using it given how bad my internet connection is at home, I also won't be streaming games to other TV's in my house because that's just not my idea of fun. The AI up-scaling on the device is one of the main reasons I went for it, I have an LG OLED TV and whilst 4k content looks incredible on it anything below 1080p looked terrible...not any more! The AI up-scaling on 1080p content is amazing and it even does a good job with lower resolution content. The only other complain I have is that this model does not have any USB connections, this is my problem for not reading the description, I should have paid the extra £50 and got the bigger model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by zoologically from NVIDIA Shield I decided to replace my ageing Roku device with something a little more up to date, i did some research read many reviews and decided on the NVIDIA Shield. I wanted to get it from somewhere I had purchased from before and I had every reason to trust so i choose Scan (I've been a customer for a few years now and have purchased parts and PC's from them for many years) It came as expected well wrapped and on time, and i was eager to set it up which you can do very quickly, I initially had to dig into the settings to make my soundbar volume work, but everything is where you would expect it to be.. well done Nvidia. This device works a dream, I have a fast connection and connected it via cable directly to my router and it works a dream no hang ups, no slowdown, no stuttering and the picture when needed is upscaled and looks great. The remote is superb, just exactly what you need and works flawlessly the triangle shape seems odd to look at but is very comfortable. (Just a note when changing batteries watch a You Tube on it, makes it easier) All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase, it's a very slick streamer, flawless in operation and you can hide it well out of the way. The service from Scan was boringly predictable, on time , well packed, and you are kept up to date at all points in the process from order to delivery (just what i expect) I gave it a 4 start for value simply because i wish it was cheaper, but do not regret spending what i did.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Stevefocus from Great features but massive headache getting it to work on my network Great product if your an expert in networks, have nothing but trouble trying to get it running on a wired network, only bought it so I could play my PC games on my tv downstairs, in the end I got so fed up trying to get it to work on my network I brought my PC downstairs instead. Nvidia support was good but they couldn’t resolve the issue either.
