Product Overview Noctua's DX line of coolers has become the default choice in high performance quiet cooling solutions for Intel Xeon CPUs. The latest i4 revisions supports LGA2011 (both Square ILM and Narrow ILM), LGA1356 and LGA1366 based Xeon platforms.

The larger of the two coolers, the NH-U12DX i4 comes equipped with Noctua’s award-winning NF-F12 focused flow PWM fan for automatic speed control while the smaller NH-U9DX i4 is supplied with two NF-B9 92mm PWM Fans in a push-pull configuration for ultimate performance.

Due to its slim design, the NH-U12DX i4 now provides easy access to the memory slots and better compatibility with tall modules. Both coolers are fitted with the professional SecuFirm2™ mounting system and are bundled with Noctua's industrial-grade NT-H1 thermal compound making the NH-U9DX and NH-U12DX complete premium quality coolers for quietly cooling Xeon based workstations and servers.

Award-winning NH-U9/U12DX Series
The NH-U9/U12DX i4 is based on the latest version of Noctua’s award-winning NH-U9/12 coolers. First introduced in 2005, the NH-U series have become a standard choice for premium quality quiet CPU coolers and have won more than 400 awards and recommendations from leading international hardware websites and magazines.

Easier access to RAM
Thanks to its slim design with only 45mm fin depth, the NH-U12DX i4 ensures easy access to the RAM slots. When installed parallel to the slots, it will not overhang the memory on LGA1356, LGA1366 and LGA2011 Square ILM even with two fans installed, thus providing full compatibility with tall RAM heatsinks.

High quality Noctua Fans
Recommended by more than 150 hardware publications and thousands of enthusiasts world-wide, Noctua’s premium quality NF-F12 Focused Flow 120mm PWM fan supplied with the NH-U12DX is renowned to combine superb static pressure, excellent heatsink performance and surprising quietness of operation.

The NH-U9DX is supplied with two NF-B9 92mm PWM Fans in a push-pull configuration and features Noctua’s renowned SSO bearing as well as advanced aerodynamic optimisations such as Bevelled Blade Tips and Vortex-Control Notches in order to achieve its superb quiet cooling capability.

PWM Support and Low-Noise Adaptor
The NF-B9 92mm fans supplied with the NH-U9DX i4 also support PWM for convenient automatic speed control through the motherboard and by using the low-noise adapter, the maximum fan speed can be reduced from 1600 to 1300 rpm.

NT-H1 Thermal Compound
Having received more than 100 awards and recommendations from hardware journalists around the world, Noctua’s NT-H1 is a proven professional grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance, excellent ease of use and outstanding reliability.

SecuFirm2™ Mounting System
Noctua’s SecuFirm2™ mounting systems have become synonymous with quality, safety and ease of use. Supporting Intel’s LGA2011 (both Square and Narrow ILM), LGA1356 and LGA1366 Xeon platforms, the SecuFirm2™ mounting included with both coolers guarantees perfect contact pressure and maximum convenience on all sockets.

6 Year Warranty
Noctua products are renowned for their impeccable quality and outstanding longevity. Like all Noctua fans, both the supplied 120 mm NF-F12 and the 92mm NF-B9 fans features an MTBF rating of more than 150,000 hours and the entire NH-U9DX / NH-U12DX i4 packages comes with a full 6 years manufacturer’s warranty. The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.
