The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con 2 (Left + Right) Pair of Controllers offers an enhanced gaming experience with several key improvements over the original Joy-Con. These controllers feature a magnetic connection system that allows them to snap securely onto the console’s sides, replacing the previous sliding rail mechanism for easier attachment and removal. Each Joy-Con 2 includes an optical sensor enabling mouse-like controls on various surfaces, adding new gameplay possibilities. Equipped with HD rumble 2 for immersive vibration feedback and built-in accelerometer, gyroscope, and mouse sensors, they provide precise motion control. The controllers have an internal lithium-ion battery with approximately 20 hours of battery life and take about 3.5 hours to charge via the console or charging grip.
