With its roots firmly rooted in a lineage of microphone designs by David Royer, the MA-201fetVG serves up warm, full-bodied reproductions of vocals and instruments, with none of the shrillness and high-end distortion artefacts which are all too common place with the modern condenser microphone.
Via the use of a 3-micron, single-sided, gold-sputtered capsule, high-grade Jensen audio transformer, military-grade FET and customer designed low-noise resistors, Mojave Audio’s MA-201fetVG operates at a level highly reminiscent of some of the world’s most beloved classic condenser mics. Every single MA-201fetVG mic is carefully test and evaluated, then packaged in a protective case along with an accompanying shockmount.
