Legendary overdriveThe Maxon OD-808 was introduced in 1979 as the world's first pedal to simulate tube-amp overdrive. Still to this day, it is a staple to countless guitar tones, used on an evergrowing list of incredible albums, from blues to extreme metal, this pedal has certainly earned its place on thousands of pedalboards. Later rebranded as the Ibanez TS808 Tubescreamer, the Maxon OD-808 reissue provides warm and organic overdrive with more of the sweet spot frequencies to get the best out of your tone. Perfect for adding natural, tube-like overdrive to a clean amp. You can also used as a solo boost for some extra sustain, or you can leave it on all the time for a tighter, high-gain sound.
