KSR Eros Boost/3-Band EQ Pedal

Total controlThe KSR Eros is not your typical boost. It can boost cleanly without overdrive, add a some grit, or extra distortion. It features a 3-band active EQ for precise tone sculpting. Use the Eros in front of your amp to add volume or grit to a clean or crunch channel. Alternatively, sculpt your amp’s distortion response, as you would with a typical boost. Athough, you’re now no longer limited to a narrow frequency range dictated by a single tone control found on a lot of classic boosts.

achieve your desired soundThis pedal isn't just a typical TS style boost, so it shouldn't be setup in that way. e.g. rather than cranking the Level and cutting the Gain, Start with both at noon and go from there. The Feel (tight/fat/thick) and Mode (clean/clip/dirt) switches will lose effectiveness the lower the Gain control is set.

The higher Level is cranked the more internal distortion can be generated in the last gain stage, and therefore it will add distortion within the Eros coupled with a higher Gain setting. With a lower Gain setting the last stage will remain unclipped, but a huge signal will slam the front end of any amp. This can be too large a signal to achieve your desired sound. e.g. too much saturation due to lack of headroom in the amp’s first stage.
