It's a straightforward passive bass built around a roasted poplar body, Canadian roasted maple neck and a pair of custom YHL PB-style split-coil pickups, giving you the extra low-end range of a five-string while keeping the controls and layout reassuringly simple. The 34" scale neck uses a Modern C profile and a 12" radius rosewood fingerboard, with 20 frets and a 45mm polymer composite nut. That gives the JPB-305 a familiar long-scale feel, while the slightly flatter fingerboard works well for moving around a five-string neck without it feeling unnecessarily bulky. The double-action truss rod also gives you useful adjustment when it comes to keeping the neck properly set up.

JET has used roasted poplar for the body and Canadian roasted maple for the neck, paired with a red tortoise pickguard and Charcoal finish. The overall look sits somewhere between classic and contemporary — recognisably P-style, but with enough modern detail to keep it from feeling like a straight vintage reproduction. For the electronics, the JPB-305 uses two custom-made YHL PB-style pickups, with a single volume and tone control. It's a deliberately uncomplicated setup: plug in, set your level and tone, and get on with playing. The split-coil configuration gives the bass a strong, familiar foundation that suits everything from rock and pop through to heavier styles where the extended low B comes into its own. The hardware is equally practical, with vintage-style chrome machine heads and a two-point, five-saddle bridge. Individual saddles allow the five strings to be set up and intonated independently, while D'Addario strings are fitted from the factory.
