classic looks and feel, modern power and playabilityThe JET JS-300 takes the familiar S-style electric guitar and gives it a few worthwhile upgrades that you wouldn't necessarily expect at this price. With a roasted poplar body, Canadian roasted maple neck and a trio of ceramic single-coil pickups, it's a straightforward, versatile guitar built around a very familiar playing experience. The 25.5" scale neck has a Modern C profile and a roasted maple fingerboard with a 9.5" radius. It's a comfortable combination for both rhythm and lead playing, with enough room to move around the 22-fret layout without making the neck feel overly modern or unfamiliar. The double-action truss rod also gives you plenty of scope for keeping the neck properly dialled in.

JET has opted for a roasted poplar body, paired with Canadian roasted maple for the neck. The result is a contemporary take on the classic S-style formula, finished here with classic chrome hardware. There's nothing particularly complicated about the design, which is part of the appeal — this is a guitar that gets the important bits right and leaves you to concentrate on playing. The JS-300 uses three ceramic single-coil pickups, controlled by a master volume, two tone controls and a five-way selector. That gives you the familiar range of S-style pickup combinations, from the fuller neck position through to the brighter bridge pickup, with the in-between settings adding plenty of useful variation for clean, edge-of-breakup and driven sounds.

A conventional tremolo bridge and chrome machine heads keep the hardware familiar and easy to work with, while the bone/polymer fibre nut specification has been updated on newer production from 2025 onwards. The JS-300 is ultimately a no-nonsense S-style guitar with a better-than-basic specification. It's an easy fit for players who want the familiar feel and pickup layout of a classic single-coil guitar, but would rather spend their money on a well-specified instrument than a big-name badge.
