Jet - JJB300 Bass Guitar
(Sea Foam Green)
classic looks and feel, modern power and playabilityThe JET JJB-300 SFG takes the familiar J-style bass formula and gives it a few well-judged modern touches. With a roasted poplar body, Canadian roasted maple neck and a pair of passive JB-style pickups, it offers the kind of straightforward, versatile setup that works just as well at a gig as it does in the studio.
The 34" scale neck has a Modern C profile and a 12" radius rosewood fingerboard, giving the JJB-300 a slightly flatter feel than a traditional J-style bass.
It's a comfortable combination for fingerstyle playing, pick work and moving around the fingerboard, while the 20-fret layout keeps things familiar for anyone coming from a more traditional four-string.
JET has used roasted poplar for the body and Canadian roasted maple for the neck, giving the bass a solid, contemporary feel while retaining plenty of the character you'd expect from this style of instrument. The bone nut is another nice touch at this price point, while the double-action truss rod gives you useful scope for keeping the neck properly dialled in over time.

Classic J-Bass Sound
vintage-inspired appealThe two JB-style pickups are controlled independently via separate volume controls, with a master tone providing straightforward control over the overall character. Blend the pickups for the familiar full-bodied J-bass sound, favour the neck pickup for a rounder response, or bring in more of the bridge pickup when you need extra definition and bite.
A two-point, four-saddle bridge and vintage-style chrome machine heads keep the hardware simple and functional, while the red tortoise pickguard and Sea Foam Green finish give the JJB-300 plenty of vintage-inspired appeal without making it feel like a straight reproduction of an old design.
